Living in what was formerly a small fishing community, Steve Russell
paints the subjects he knows best ... seacoast, sun, boats and bays. An
Artist, painting in the "traditional" manner, Russell's enthusiasm for the simplicity and tranquility of the Texas Gulf Coast fishing communities is presented with a durable
clarity.
Now that
would nearly bring tears to a glass eye. The fellows that wrote
this mess are all gone now and we sure do miss them. Silver
tongued devils were they all. Turns out that he paints a few
things other than the Texas Coast. (Italy, nudes, hill country,
still lifes, etc...)
